We are currently accepting applications for free-lance Audio and Lighting Technicians.  All applicants should have a basic to experienced knowledge of theatrical production, with an emphasis on audio and lighting.  A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn is a must!

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  •  As a general production technician, you will be responsible for setting up audio, lighting, & video equipment, as well as their operation and maintenance during each event.
  • Be available to travel at anytime on Thursday, and return at anytime either Sunday or Monday.
  • Be ON TIME for ALL call times set forth by the Crew-Lead, or Production Manager.
  • Make sure equipment is maintained either through self-servicing the equipment, or informing the Production Manager.
  • Make sure equipment is loaded on truck in orderly fashion, and to ensure it's safe arrival in next city.
  • Applicant must be available to begin work October, 2017

Education and Experience

  •  Knowledgeable on complete set up, operation, and strike of professional sound and lighting systems.
  • If you are a Sound or Lighting technician, please indicate which consoles you have experience with.
  • Ability to work long hours in theatrical production environments.

Time Commitment

  • Thursday-Monday. Our winter touring season runs October-May. Thursday and Monday are usually travel days, with show run Friday-Sunday. Summer Tours run June -mid August. There may be certain weeks you will be required to be stay out the full week Monday- Sunday.

Shop Work/Training

  • You may be required to attend training at our Production Facility located in Nashville, TN. We may also need you to commit to one day a week at our production facility during the tour to load/unload trucks.

Judging by the lack of updates to our previous website, most would think that ESP had disappeared off the face of the planet. On the contrary, it’s been quite the opposite! The last five years have seen a rapid growth for ESP in both equipment inventory and clientele. "It always feels good to surpass previous levels of achievement." says Tony. "Hopefully, we'll continue to do our thing, and provide our clients with even better equipment & technical services than in years past. I'm very excited about the developments we have on the horizon!"
